20 Free Illustrations with a Premium end-product effect
Free resources – free illustrations to be more exact – are often appreciated by everyone because you don’t invest any money, so there’s nothing to lose really if you try them. But we secretly think that they won’t lead up to a ground braking project.
If you are one of those people, you would be somewhat right; and with good reason. The digital graphics market is overflowing with free material. The majority of it is bait for something else, although that „it” may be something quite worth the time and money. But, more often than not, that’s not case.
What I’m here for is to talk about the instances when free illustrations knock you off your feet. They’re so good it’s hard to believe they cost nothing. They’re so good it worries you as an illustrator that customers have free access to such quality. But it’s all in the scope and way you use said illustrations that matter. Nothing is as easy as it seems. Complex projects definitely need custom work, but when you’re on a tight budget but with some time to research, you can hit the jackpot!
The examples below are exceptional situations when a trained eye can see the high potential of free illustrations. The list includes posters, patterns, characters, menus or landscapes. What do you think?
